Bolle Farms

Brenda and Jack Bolle have been farming since 1960. It has been six years since they began bringing their country fresh vegetables to the city, through the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.

They have an extensive list of produce. In late spring and early summer there are green onions, radishes, asparagus, spinach and lettuce. In summer: carrots, potatoes, Spanish onions, and beets (bunched beets with greens and bunched baby carrots). Dykstra Orchards

Jan & Phobe Toebes

J. & P. Toebes Farm has been in business since 1989. They began selling at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market a year later. Farm spokesperson Jan Toebes’ impressive list of “Fresh from the Farm” vegetables include: beans, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, potatoes, rhubarb, onions, zucchini, garlic and pumpkins. Saugeen River CSA

For a wide variety of high quality vegetables, herbs and flowers, go to the Saugeen River CSA booth at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market on Saturday morning. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

Saugeen River CSA meets all organic standards through the Demeter Certified Biodynamic program. The group has been active since 1997, selling their produce from late spring to early fall at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market since 2002. Read full article>>
